Annie Sloan Loose Metal Leaf Booklets - Gold

This gold loose leaf is perfect for most gilding projects and it’s designed to do well on carved surfaces. Apply with Annie Sloan’s Gold Size.

How to use with Annie Sloan’s Gold Size: apply a thin layer of Gold Size over a surface intended for gilding. The Gold Size will at first look white, then purple as it dries (this can take up to 15 minutes), and finally transparent. Once the Size is transparent, it is ready for metal leaf to be applied. Lightly dust your hands with talcum powder then lay the leaf carefully onto the sized area, gently smoothing and removing excess leaf with a soft dry cloth.

   ~Imitation gold leaf is made of brass. The metal will tarnish over time, so apply a layer of Clear Chalk Paint® Wax  over your gilded surface to protect it.
